Fic: Let the Pillar be Unbroken
Pairing: Tezuka/Oishi
Rating: PG-16 for talking about the happy pill?
Warning: OLD PEOPLE, bad puns, unedited
Notes: For Zomi, because she asked for this. And Mel, because she started it. :X
“It happens to everybody, really,” Oishi said, patting Tezuka’s shoulder, gently. After all this time, Tezuka’s shoulder bothered him when the weather started to get colder, and Oishi always took care not to agitate it. “You aren’t less of a man because you’re taking it. We’re just getting old that’s all.”
Tezuka sighed, staring down at the little pill in his hand. It didn’t look threatening at all, so why did even considering taking it make him feel like he was failing something.
Oishi sat next to him on the bed, falling into silence and then looking at himself in the mirror. This was his fault. His hair was thinning out and he had wrinkles around his eyes and on his forehead. He’d gotten old and Tezuka just didn’t find him sexy anymore! And now Tezuka was going to have to take a pill so they could be together, and he’d feel inadequate when it was Oishi who—
Oishi blinked as a finger nudged him between the eyebrows. Tezuka pulled his hand back and gave him a soft smile. It washed away Oishi’s worries as if they hadn’t even been there.
“Y-you don’t have to take it,” Oishi said, reaching for Tezuka’s knee. “It’s okay if we don’t do it. I know you love me. You have don’t have to prove it.”
Tezuka blinked. No sex? What? He popped the pill with the glass of water that had been patiently sitting on the nightstand. “I want to prove it,” Tezuka said, pushing Oishi back onto the bed.
Oishi flushed and then reached up for Tezuka’s glasses, to set them aside, then reached for his own. He’d put them on so he could thoroughly read the prescription. He wasn’t going to let Tezuka take something with carefully following the directions after all.
Tezuka started on the buttons of Oishi’s shirt as their lips came together. Oishi hands ran down Tezuka’s back to cup his rear just as the phone rang. Oishi sighed and shifted to scoot out from under Tezuka, but Tezuka grabbed him by the belt and dragged him back down. “They can call back later.”
Oishi sent a worried look toward to phone. What if it was an emergency? But he relaxed back against the bed and his pants were nearly off when the answering machine finally picked up.
“Oi, Buchou . . . . You should really leave the pharmacy before you pull out the box to read it. Mada mada dane . . . .”
